Aankondiging symposium Voedingscommunicatie

Ter gelegenheid van het afscheid van prof.dr. Gert Jan Hiddink als buitengewoon hoogleraar Voedingscommunicatie organiseert Wageningen University & Research ism de NZO een high level symposium getiteld ‘State of Nutrition Communication: understanding differences and bridging gaps. New avenues in nutrition communication’.

Het symposium gaat van start met een key-note lezing van prof. dr. Lawrence Green van de University of California op woensdagavond 8 februari. Prof.  Green laat zien wat het bestrijden van tabaksgebruik in de afgelopen decennia ons heeft geleerd. Welke lessen kunnen we nu gebruiken om de huidige gezondheidsproblemen door verkeerde voeding en leefstijl aan te pakken.

Voor donderdag 9 februari is een volledig symposiumprogramma opgesteld rondom het thema voedingscommunicatie, waarbij sprekers van Wageningen Universiteit en Radboud UMC hun visie presenteren. Zo presenteert dr. Sonja van Dillen haar onderzoek naar de leefstijladviezen gegeven door verpleegkundigen en professionals  uit de eerstelijnszorg. Dr. Laura Bouwman onderbouwt met haar onderzoek de theorie van de salutogenese en prof. dr. Emely de Vet (Strategic Communication) zet uiteen welk onderzoek kan bijdragen aan het bevorderen van voedings- en leefstijlgewoontes. Na een plenaire discussie geeft prof.dr. Hiddink zijn afscheidsrede met als onderwerp ‘Leefstijladvies in de eerstelijnszorg’.
